First Amendment Publishing is a subsidary of Duarte & Associates.
Hello, my name is Dr. Paul Duarte, I am CEO of First Amendment, a writer (published), theologian, counselor, tax consultant and an amateur photographer. This site is not only a promotional site, but it is also a place where one can come and share ideas, works and creativity.
Our goal is to bring back true freedom of speech to the writer. Provided that your project does not involve hate literature, racial content or excessive street language, we will print and publish it. In other words as long as it is written in a mature, tasteful and intellegent manner, we will help you get it out there.
We believe that censorship is an infringement to the first amendment in the US and freedom of speech in Canada. So this is why we do not have a legal department as most conventional publishing companies do. We believe that "we" the people need to take back responsibility for our own actions and our own freedoms.

Behind the Scenes
The book "Shakedown" has been a particularly difficult problem to write and publish. Because it is a true story about police corruption and off the wall characters, due to the nature of sensitive matter, the book has been censored by two well known publishing companies; which forced us to self publish and create our own publishing company.
We are now a registered publishing company, to authors that are tired of having their freedom of speech censored and books rejected.
This book will be distributed in the censored and uncensored versions. Now available online by request only at this time! But it will be available in book form probably sometime in March/April. Click on the link below to find out more.
